How large is A Resident’s room?

Nearly all of our rooms are compact singles with an en-suite bathroom. The average size of the bedroom area is around 4m by 2.5 m (10 sq m) or around 13ft x 8ft, plus there is a small lobby of around one square metre and additional space for the built in storage. The standard bathroom is approximately 1.5m by 1.5m (just under 5ft by 5ft). We have a very limited number of double rooms and suites that vary in size.

Is internet provided?

Our Wi-Fi service in included and is available in residents’ rooms as well as all communa areas including the lounge. Wi-Fi password is provided upon check in.

Do you provide towels and bed linen?

We provide a hand towel, bath towel, bathmat, full set of bed linen and all beds have a duve and 2 pillows. Bed linen and towels are changed by the housekeeping department once a week. Other bathroom essentials included are soap and toilet paper.

For short stays of up to 5 weeks, bath gel and shampoo are also provided.

What are the laundry facilities?

In addition to the weekly housekeeping service we have a small launderette for residents’ personal use. The laundrette has 3 brand new Miele washing machines and dryers suitable for personal laundry. A normal wash costs £4 and the dryer is 50p for 20 minutes. We do not provide washing powders/liquids. An iron/ironing board is also available in the launderette.

Opening hours: 7 days a week from 7:00 to 22:00

We also have a limited number of irons/ironing boards to loan to residents (for short periods only) on payment of a refundable deposit of £10.

Is there a hairdryer in the room?

A hairdryer is provided in all Superior rooms only.

What times are the meals served?

Monday-Friday: 7:00 - 9:30
Saturday & Bank Holidays: 8:00 - 10:00
Sunday: 8:00 - 11:00

Dinner *
Monday-Friday: 19:00 - 20:30
Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays: 19:00 - 20:00

* If you cannot make it for Dinner Service, we can offer you a Cold Tray service instead. Cold Tray service should be requested with Reception before 18:00 on the day.

Can I get Tea/Coffee During the Day?

We offer complimentary tea & coffee throughout the day.
Water cooler is also available 24/7.

I am staying as a visitor and dinner is not included. Can I choose to have dinner?

Yes. You are welcome to have dinner at Vincent House. Dinner is charged @ £15.00 for a 3-course set menu.
Guests can also join residents for dinner at a charge of £15 (£10 for breakfast).

Do you provide personal cooking facilities or a residents’ kitchen?

No. There are no cooking facilities for residents’ use and we also do not allow the use of any personal cooking items in the room. Residents can consume food, including take-away or home-delivery meals, either in their rooms (at any time), the communal dining room (excluding the times when breakfast or dinner is served) or in the garden.

Will you cater for customers with food intolerances or allergies?

Unfortunately, we cannot cater specifically for residents or guests with food intolerances or allergies. We do offer gluten free options during breakfast & dinner services as well as vegetarian options, however our kitchen is storing and handling food with allergens and, although every care is taken in the kitchen to prevent allergen cross-contamination, nothing can ever be 100 per cent safe.

Is there a discount if I am away from the House?

If you are away from the House for a period longer than two weeks during the term of your residency, we will deduct a proportion of your service charge on the days you are away. Please ask reception for details or e-mail reception@vincenthouse.co.uk. To get a discount Reception needs to be informed in writing before your planned departure.

Can I register with a local GP?

All Residents on a Long-Term Licence Agreement can register with a local GP service. In addition to your Licence Agreement, signed upon arrival, we can provide a letter confirming the address and your residency at Vincent House.

How easy is it to get to Vincent House from Heathrow or Gatwick airports?

Vincent House is located very close to Notting Hill Gate underground station. From Heathrow Airport you can choose to take the tube (Piccadilly line and change at Earls Court for the District line) or the Heathrow Express to Paddington mainline station, which is a few minutes away either by tube, bus or taxi.

If travelling from Gatwick Airport, take the Gatwick Express to Victoria mainline station and then onto Notting Hill Gate either by tube, bus or taxi.
